There is no doubt that at some time somebody must take responsibility for checking on the condition of care home residents, if only yo prevent scandals such as the death of Mr. Perrin in the Norbury Eltandia care home. I know that this cannot be a relative, because I have been disallowed access to and contact with my sister, who is in a private care home, ever since she told me she wished to leave it and go home (staff told her she was already 'at home'). The more abuse there is of a resident's intelligence and person, the less the care home owners, HMT Care Ltd. in this case, wish anyone other than themselves to know of it. But who in this this paranoid cowardly island has the guts for such a job?
