London Councils have warned this week that the system of accessing care and care funding is overly complicated and financially unsustainable.
A survey discovered that 4 out of 10 people who have a relative with a social care need find it difficult to know who to speak to, and to work out what care is free and what is paid for.
In addition, almost half (44%) wanted more information about how to plan for care in the future.
With the Government Green Paper on social care due out this week, it will be interesting to see if any of these shortfalls in access to information will be met.
